Rue 21 - Customer Service
I was in Rue 21 tonight, a lady with her kids, (which I assume is a regular customer because she talked and joked with them as if she knew them personally) was checking out and her son had a toy that was candy and the candy part was wrapped in plastic "the manager" asked if she was going to purchase the toy/candy. The lady replied no.
The manager advised her that since he had been walking around with it and it had touched his mouth "the plastic toy part not the actual candy that was still perfectly untouched" she wouldn't feel safe selling that item. The lady was annoyed and just agreed to purchase it. Her husband later approached the counter and he was speaking with his wife saying that the candy was perfectly fine and wrapped the manager butted in and explained that she just wouldn't feel safe selling it to some other kid. The lady husband explained it could be wiped off.
Which I also agree. After leaving the husband came back into the store and I totally agree with his theory and I understand that sometimes it is how some things are said and the intention on what is being said. They began to argue and the manager actually told him that they should watch their kids better. I will gladly say that the entire situation could have been avoided.
The lady should have never felt pressure to buy something that could have easily been sold. Also the manger could have handled the situation totally different.
Not to add that I felt like it was due to their race. I WILL NEVER shop or support a company that does not value their customers.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.

But that is gross though, some kids slobber all over a toy. What if the kid has AIDS or something?
That's nasty. She shouldn't have allowed her kid to slobber all over it like wtf...
